Goodbye Rwanda, hello Uganda

Shell and I have just completed four fabulous months of living in Kigali, Rwanda.  It seems like we only arrived last weekend, the time has really flown.  We are now begining our journey across East Africa.

On Thursday morning we took a bus to Kabale, Uganda, the first major town that you pass when crossing the Rwanda/Uganda border.  We caught a lift to lake Bunyoni, then paddled in a wooden canoe to the Byoona Amagara Island Retreat, where we spent three lazy days relaxing, reading, walking and eating and drinking.

Last night we caught an overnight bus from Kabale to Kampala, where we are now sweating it out and waiting to book into a hotel.  We aim to be in Kampala for three days before catching a bus to Nairobi to visit friends.  On Saturday night we fly to Ethipia to begin our next adventure, volunterring on a permaculture farm for five weeks.
